 Ephemerids

On this day in history in:

1941
Nazi Germany's siege of Leningrad began on September 8, 1941, and lasted 900 days. Some citizens were forced to subsist on bread made from sawdust while others worked through the winter in makeshift military factories without heat. Although many perished from starvation, bombings, and the cold, the city's determined resistance held the German troops at bay and helped turn the tide of World War II. When the siege finally ended in January of 1944, Leningrad's population had been reduced from 2,500,000 million people to 600,000.

Perhaps only a speck on the 2003 Game Radar with giant blips from titles like Doom3, Deus Ex 2 & Half-Life2 coming into view, yet... this is still a title I'm personally looking forward to.

This preview indicates that the graphics have been tweaked a bit and the gameplay upgraded nicely. Perhaps just more of the same? Hey, that's fine with me... I loved the first one and played the heck out of it. Click the image to go to the Preview

I don't know if you noticed but it seems there's a new demo coming out almost every other day lately. So, being semi-bored, I've decided to download a few and give them a spin on my HD. Let me summarize my first impressions...
Star Trek: Elite Force 2 Demo
Hey, I'm an old trekkie who played and even finished the first one. Actually I had lots of fun with the first Elite Force and this one seems to continue in the same reign.
